The fatigue detection for the Audi dash cam "Universal traffic recorder 2.0"1 is a camera-based support system that can assist in the preventive detection of states of fatigue and/or situations in which the driver is distracted, if these are stored in the system as a reference. To do this, the camera system of the Audi dash cam "Universal traffic recorder 2.0" in the interior permanently scans the eyes and facial expressions of the driver when activated. When detecting situations that indicate symptoms of fatigue, distraction and/or exhaustion, warning tones are triggered. Due to integrated infrared lights, the camera system of the Audi dash cam "Universal traffic recorder 2.0" also functions at night and can be used in conjunction with many commercially available sunglasses and/or eye glasses2 with polarization.
