The versatile child seat with removable seat surface and backrest.
According to UN ECE R 129/03, the Audi i-Size junior seat is suitable for infants of a height of 100 to 150 cm. Recommended for infants of 3.5 years to approx. 12 years. The seat surface and backrest can be separated. The seat surface, without backrest, can be used for infants of a body height greater than 138 cm. It is a statutory requirement (UN ECE R 129/03) to use the complete child seat (seat and backrest) for infants of a body height of between 100 cm and 138 cm. The fastening must be carried out with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt and the vehicle-specific anchor points, some of which are optionally available at an additional cost, in accordance with the UN ECE R 129/03 i-Size fastening standard.
The AUDI AG recommends the use with the backrest, then the infant is optimally protected Adjusting the child seat height, without backrest, should only be used in exceptional cases when the headrest of the child seat cannot be extended to the maximum. This child seat may be used without the backrest, provided that the infant is between 138 cm and 150 cm tall.
The easily adjustable, ergonomic head support is individually adjustable to the size of the infant. The upper belt guide is located on the head support of the child seat. This means that if the height of the head support is changed, the belt guide adapts and the belt is in the correct position to match the size of the infant. The V-form of the backrest always offers, independently of the size of the infant, sufficient room for the infant's back and shoulders. The cover is removable and washable.
